I used one of these in a project at work:
... it basically lets you build a small 12v uninterruptable power supply, using a 12v battery, which it charges. In case it's useful for anyone!

An unfortunate error in the manual reminds me of some of my 'projects'.
bulk charing stage
I suspect should be bulk charging stage, but I relate to the charing very well.
That would certainly allow a Netduino to run for months !
