I have a working solution for an SPI based real time clock, sold by Spark Fun, through the Shield Base.  I have used code from community members in this thread: http://forums.netdui...3234/?hl=ds3234

It is slow and I get a 'System.Exception' error (see below) but it works!

The thread '<No Name>' (0x2) has exited with code 0 (0x0).

A first chance exception of type 'System.Exception' occurred in GoBusSerialTransport.dll

The thread '<No Name>' (0x9) has exited with code 0 (0x0).

The thread '<No Name>' (0xa) has exited with code 0 (0x0).

Press BTN to run tests.

SRAM OK

At 04/19/2013 10:34:40, temperature is 20C

RTC OK

Converting a working N2 project (4.3) was very easy.

I have attached the VS 2012 solution.  Hopefully it will help someone.
