Lately I've been back working on my Blog Site and wanted to add some Netduino topics on there.  So I decided to build a Netduino Tutorials Section and start doing some articles on various Netduino topics.

I am planning to target these more towards the Netduino 2 and Netduino 2 Plus as these are what I more commonly work with.  I know new Netduino users and Forum member are always looking to learn and looking to find tutorials on certain topics.

I've started a list of some of the topics I am going to cover.  They are broken down into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced tutorials.  I've listed a few to start.  Not all of them are written yet but I will be writing them and releasing them over time.

Please take a look at my topics and my Netduino 2 Tutorial page and feel free to post up any tutorials you may want to see.  If it is something I have the knowledge of and can do a tutorial I will gladly add it to the list and work on it.

My hope is to have a small resource that I can give back to the community for all the help they provided getting me off the ground.

Here is the link to my main Tutorials Page http://www.davevande...ino-2-tutorials

Below is the list of tutorials I am planning to cover thus far.  Those with hyperlinks are currently posted.

Beginner
Intermediate
  • Reading a Button Matrix
Advanced
  • Dynamically Loading Assemblies

updating firmware is in the wiki.

loading assemblies is somewhere on a website (since its advanced the information there are more than sufficient, i could get it to work)

edit: its still a nice idea.

also making a linklist with the various other sources would help i think

Part of the reason I am doing this, many users complain they cannot find tutorials or find things in the wiki. but if people seem to think the info is out there and can be found by wasting time roaming around on Google then I certainly won't waste my time. Welcome more feedback.

Hi Dave, Nice idea. I'm never sure about starting something new when there are so many other places that have tutorials and projects. I think there is a big difference though when it is organised by someone who spends as much time as you do helping others. Good luck on this! Could you add the following topics: - port expansion via SPI using 74595 and 74165 - H-bridge motor control Paul

These are good topics.  I have two future projects that I need SPI expansion and H-bridge motor control so these will fit it well.  One of them I am working on some Paranormal Technology using the Microsoft Kinect and need to add an additional degree of freedom to the Kinect Mounting Base and will likely use H-Bridge.

Thanks for the ideas Paul!

These are good ones too.  I've had to convert quite a few things from 4.1 to 4.2. Some were easy... some were not.... so definitely a good topic.

Tutorials that are up to date, well written and updated along with the firmware should be here:

http://www.netduino.com/projects/

Best for everyone.

But how do we get them there, Chris ?

I agree, it would be good to see some more projects shown on the project page.  I'd be willing to record videos of some of my tutorials to put on the projects page.

Thank you to NooM and Paul I have added a few new topics to the upcoming list of tutorials I'll be working on.

Here's the revised list:

Some topics which are either hidden in the above (i.e. SPI could be used in the shift register tutorial) or not mentioned:

  • SPI
  • I2C
  • Networking
  • Serial
  • Storing data on SD

Other topics which might be worthy of consideration:

  • Tools
  • From prototype to PCB
  • Reading a data sheet
  • Reading a circuit diagram

Regards,

Mark
