I'd like to read from the SD card on a Adafruit WaveShield via SPI. Found an example in the Mini section (http://forums.netdui...and-sd-via-spi/). I understand that the Plus handles the mounting/unmounting of SD cards itself, and that the built-in SD uses a seperate SPI negating the need for SecretLabs.NETMF.IO for the Plus. Question is, can I reference that library and mount another SD card on SPI1? If so, where can I find that library?
Possible to read from external SD card via SPI?

Hi Brad,
Welcome to the Netduino community.
Currently, you can use the built-in MicroSD capability on the Netduino Plus. We are looking into ways to support simultaneous use of a second SD slot in a future firmware update.
If you want to use the Adafruit shield's SD card slot and don't need the Ethernet or MicroSD features on the Netduino Plus, you can erase your Netduino Plus using the ERASE pad and then flash the Netduino v4.1.1 alpha 3 firmware onto your Netduino Plus instead.

Thanks, Chris. I'll utilize the built-in SD card slot for now, and look for functionality in the future to utilize multiple cards. Out of curiosity, regarding the future functionality, are there any decent tutorials/docs on building/extending the firmware? You know, just in case a guy was so inclined.

Brad,
I'd recommend reading the documentation that comes with the .NET Micro Framework porting kit.
