I have netduino 1, with firmware 4.1.
I have two computers and both has exactly the same configuration and that is : windows 8, 64 bit, VS 2012 .NET MF 4.3 and Netduino SDK 4.3 installed.
The difference is one of them has USB 2.0 and the other has USB 3.0.
From USB 2.0 everything works flawlessley. From the computer (it is an Asus N56VZ) that has USB 3.0, half of my deployment or debugging attempt fails with the following:
When I try to debug I am getting the following from VS
Waiting for device to initialize... The debugging target and the debugger engine failed to initialize because of unspecified device errors. The debugger engine thread has terminated unexpectedly with error 'Could not reconnect to the debugging target after rebooting it.'.
Meanwhile windows gives me the error that USB device is malfunctioned.
When I try to deploy without debugging, deplyoment succeeds (and the program actually works) but again windows give the same error and the data connection between the device is gone. Power still works.
Half of the time, it works for both debugging and deployment properly.
I can consider updating to a new firmware if that will provide the fix.
