After I flash my Netduino 2 Plus to the 4.3 firmware, the device will not show up in MFDeploy.

Chris,
Are we still missing One Wire support in 4.3 for the N2+? I thought that this was supposed to be added in 4.2.

Chris,
I found the OneWire namespace. I had to add it in references before I could import it.
Thanks for getting back to me!!!

This MSDN blog, started by the Program Manager currently responsible for .NET Micro Framework maintenance, sheds light on the current issues:
NETMF 4.3: Document Update and Issue Fixing
A person named Philip Lo (appears to be MS employee) advises that Microsoft's legal team wants to review intellectual property concerns related to .NET MF and that this team is the midst of a reorganization as well.

This is really getting ridicolous, my team is evaluating a port of our project to a more supported platform, like Arduino
Can't we at least get the source for the current one-year-old beta?

JJJ - we've been working with the NETMF team to get bugfixes into the 4.3 core over the last year. Some of those made it in time for QFE1 (including the critical interop bugfix). Some of them will be rolled into new NETMF and/or Netduino firmware releases.

@ JJJ - I think this was rather a realistic assessment of what's possible in a first release by a new team. I am very, very glad they didn't try to change anything in the lwIP integration, before getting really comfortable with the code base. Good judgement, in my book.
Just to put things into perspective: we had to roll back some parts of the networking code from 4.3 to 4.2 to make it work reliably.

I'm not complaining, honestly...................but.....................do you know when we can expect support for VS2013 with .NETMF 4.3 (QFE1)?

Chris, when do you expect an updated, 4.3QFE1 compatible ND2+-firmware will be available?

@cranberry -- we expect to have 4.3 QFE1-compatible firmware for Netduino 2 and Netduino Plus 2 this month, along with the Netduino 4.3.1 (QFE1) SDK. @3103BC68CC83 -- we've already built the VS2013-compatible NETMF 4.3 QFE1 SDK. We've published it over on the AGENT Smartwatch forums--but please hold off on installing it until we have the upcoming Netduino 4.3.1 (QFE1) SDK for VS2013 ready to go as well. Chris
Cheers Chris, and thank you.
