problem in netdunio "Cannot deploy the base assembly 'mscorlib'

Best Answer Stefan, 29 January 2013 - 08:49 AM

Hi Omar, and welcome to the Netduino Community.

The error you are getting is because you are trying to deploy an application for the .NET Micro Framework version 4.2, whilst the Netduino still holds version 4.1.2821.

There are two possible solutions:

1. Downgrade your project

2. Upgrade your Netduino

Both solutions are described here: http://wiki.netduino...y-mscorlib.ashx

" 10,000 write cycles " is few :(

when I Exceed the number of writing what I have to do ???

re buy a new netdunio plus ? or replacing "SAM7X512" with new one ?

I saw the datasheet of " SAM7X512 " but i saw this " 10,000 write cycles, 10-year data retention capability "

" 10,000 write cycles " is few :(

Well, I've done -a lot!- with netduinos, and can tell you you won't reach 10.000 quickly. I wouldn't make a big deal of that. And after 10k (I believe in reality it can handle more by the way), you really used it well for only $50 I suppose ;)

Depends, downgrading the project is the easiest, but if you require 4.2 features, it may be better to upgrade your netduino. It's up to you really. Both versions are still supported as far as I know.

First: don't panic. Netduinos are difficult to brick :)

If you click the popup, can you browse to the drivers locally? They should be at C:Program Files (x86)Secret LabsNetduino SDKDrivers or something simular.

10.000 is quite a lot write cycles. iam now at about 1000-1500 in ~6 months, iam testing a lot of different stuff.

so when i keep programming that often, in 3-5 years its damaged :P

that is the best fun/price ratio ive ever seen.

10.000 is quite a lot write cycles.

Additionally 10,000 is the manufacturer's "suggested" number of write cycles. I would suspect that the actual number of write cycles is much much higher by perhaps a factor of 10, however no one can guaranty the stability of the chip after that time. With that said I would be very surprised to find any user that has, or will need to ever replace their Netduino because of too many write cycles.

BTW, I believe the earlier SSD Flash hard drives also had a limit of 10,000 flash cycles and I don't recall hearing of too many people exceeding that.

Cheers,

Steve
