I'm a newbie. I bought Netduino Plus for my Final Year Project. Basically I'm working on Office Automation type gadget in which there is a camera, a microphone, a temperature and light sensors which throw its data to the web. On the GUI, the user can hear the voice at the runtime along with the live video and the temperature and light status. The user can also move the camera in only one plane.

In respect to this, I wanted to know which hardware module(s) will be require to achieve the desire outcome. In the case of camera movement only in one plane, which camera will be most suitable?

Your consideration is highly require.

Waiting for your replies.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums. First... The Netduino is not capable of streaming audio or video. These would need to be handled by a network ready camera with microphone. The Netduino would be able to control a pan/tilt servo mechanism to move the camera and would be able to read the temp sensor and light sensors and feed it to a web interface. You would need to get as I mentioned a web or network enabled camera. Network would be better as it would be ip addressable without additional hardware. Search for the web for pan / tilt camera platforms. There are a ton of these out there. Then you would need either a motor shield or a I2C or SPI addressable motor controller for controlling the servo. Ton of them out there also. There are many types of temp sensors and light sensors that can be connected to the Netduino. Check places like sparkfun or adafruit for these. Finally you'll need a web server for this all and that can be hosted from the Netduino using the NeonMika web server. Check out this link and also search the forums here for threads on the server. http://neonmikawebserver.codeplex.com/ if you are using a ND+2 there is a link on the forums here to a version I upgraded for the Plus 2.Hope this gives you some direction.

maybe its to slow to really "stream" images.. but there are serial cameras out, you can take a picture and send that to a webbrowser/server.

its not fast, maybe you get 1 or 2 fps.
