Welcome to the forums.

There are many pre-made generic Arduino cases that will fit the Netduino but they are pretty basic.

duinoCases.com has a great Metal case for the plus. http://www.duinocase...plus-enclosure/

The other option is to use either a 3D printing or Laser Cutting Service.  Check out my thread on my Pandora's Box prioject.  It has several pictures of the laser cut parts, then the fully assembled case. http://forums.netdui...-tools-project/

I used Ponoko.com for the laser cutting.  There are a few great articles on the web about creating laser cut cases and how to notch them together.

Hope this helps as a start.

Hello everyone. This is my first post on the forum, it's a great community and I'm glad being part of it.

I'm planning to build some hardware based on NP2, and I'd like to hear from you guys what kind of boxes you're used to put your netduino hardware projects into when you make it available to your customers.

If there are any sort of prebuilt boxes on the market that fits netduino or some custom box manufacturer, I'd be very happy to know :^)

Thanks in advance!

Dave,

Seems a fantastic job, where did you get the CAD Files?  It happens I had yesterday talks with Newark reps and they are interested to help to have Hammond and Bud manufacturing a box for Netduino.  The plan is, provide drawings so they can manufacture an off-the-shelf enclosure.

Right now we have used http://www.hammondmfg.com/1555F_SL.htm with excellent results but we want to provide nice cuts from factory to have access to ethernet, usb and power connectors...

This box cost around 15USD in Mexico from Newark or Mouser.

Ideas about the CAD Drawings?

The drawings I used for Pandora's Box were originally created in DraftSight but Ponoko uses a simpler approach of using Adobe Illustrator files.  I created them from scratch and had to measure the ND+.  I however have to re-do them now that I've upgraded to ND+2.  There are slight differences in the connectors and I want to close up the gaps.  Since it is a prototype, my measurements aren't tight yet so you will likely want to measure one from scratch.
