Hi Ash,

As I just explained in your other thread, the NP1 is still for sale. Also, a NP2 app should also be able to run on a NP1 (with as limitation the added features of course).

But if you swap the device, you also need to go back to your project properties and specify the target device.

Hi ash, On supporting legacy systems...Netduino Plus 1 and Netduino Plus 2 are both in volume production. Demand for both boards is high so I know that supplies of both have been tight the last two months. Some resellers like to carry only the latest and greatest hardware, but when you need gen1 or gen2 boards we can point you to a reseller that has them in stock--or get you a lead time to let you know when the next ones are coming off the assembly line. As a bonus, Netduino Plus 1 boards are now just $49.95...so they're even more affordable than before. On deployment...you found the issue. When switching deployment between boards with different names (such as NetduinoPlus and Netduino), you will need to switch the "deployment target" in Visual Studio (in "Project Properties > .NET Micro Framework"). The gen2 boards are called simply "Netduino" vs. "NetduinoPlus" for gen1. Due to the way the dropdown box works in that Visual Studio dialog, in these cases you may need to switch the transport from USB to Serial or Emulator...and then back to USB. While the dropdown box may show the name of your currently plugged-in board, Visual Studio can't register the new board name until the selection is physically changed. It's an odd issue, and it's the one Visual Studio issue we've wished could be fixed for a few years now...but it is apparently fairly tough to tweak. With the Netduino 4.2.2 firmware...we've started using the USB Name of "Netduino" on all boards (Netduino, Netduino Plus 2, and Netduino Go). This should make it even easier to deploy the same project to multiple boards...without needing to mess with the project settings. Chris
