I'm working on a modification of hardware but I have a problem, AT91SAM7x512 out of stock and I can only get the AT91SAM7XC512. Someone has worked with AT91SAM7XC512. in netduino?

Slaxtrack, AT91SAM7XC512 should work. No official support, but Atmel tells me that that it will drop in without any code/wiring changes. Chris

Since it the NETMF will work on the AT91SAM7x512 Anyone know if it will work on the AT91SAM7S256? It has less ram, so I think it's below the minimum... It would only need to be a smaller subset of what's in the netmf. specialized LCD, no http, minimal USB...

Eric,

There's a SAM7S256 port in the .NET MF porting kit. It's minimal, and there's not much RAM or Flash left for your code.

We were playing with it for another project, but decided to go another route for now.

Slightly off-topic: Guess what microcontroller is used in Lego Mindstorms NXT brick. And there is AT91SAM7S512 with more RAM and Flash; NXT firmware has been released as open source... so little time...

BINGO! That's exactly why I'm asking.

I'll have to look into it when I have some time...

Here is some of the hardware specs for the NXT.

It has minimal ports (3 output, 4 input, special LCD, BlueTooth and USB).

I know this thread is now 2 years old but did anyone finally managed to make NETMF worked on the NXT? I'll be more than super interested.

thanks
