I just saw this earlier:

Basic Stamp 2p

And thought, wouldn't it be awesome if....

Edit:

Of course, I don't really give a rat's *ss about all that other @#$% they added pins for... All I really want is the native Ethernet. :D

Not sure what it is you're asking. I looked at the link, noticed the price, the programming, the speed, and just clicked away. After watching this Forum and the support, along with the progress made in three short months without the Netduino even being released, and I think we'll all be smiling more and more as the days roll by.

All of the micro boards have their selling points, their followers, and a lot of enthusiasm. I , for one, wouldn't give up Visual Studio Express and the programming ease and breakpoint debugging without a fight !

This field is growing faster than a lot of folks realize, and no, the Netduino is not the catch all. But, the open source and the support makes me smile!

I want to see JTAG exposed on Netduino, I'd like to add interop stuff to the port. It'll be great if there was a Netduino Mini that had all the IOs exposed.

Maybe the BASIC Stamp format should be forgotten... The mBED format and pinouts are much more to my liking and much more in line with the concept of an N+ Mini. Thoughts?

Personally, I think there is a place for the BasicStamp2 format compatibility, just as there is a place for the Arduino format compatibility. There are large numbers of people who have memorized the BS2 pinouts and have books, libraries of circuits and projects based on them. While it may not be a big deal to rework those circuits, the BS2 format of the NetduinoMini is a key attraction for me. Though, I do agree that more pinouts would be a big step forward (in a different format).

Forgotten was harsh... Netduino is to Arduino as Netduino Mini is to Basic Stamp. For that purpose it is great. I just want the N+ to find an equal comparative. I think it would be nice to be able to say (with respect to format only of course), Netduino is to Arduino as N+ Mini is to mBED. The big deal is the Ethernet controller. Maybe it is the perfectionist in me, but I just can't bring myself to ignore the nice, optimized, on-chip ethernet capabilities, only to utilize Something like WizNet over SPI. It just seems like such a waste.

I'd like to suggest that a Netduino Mini Ethernet version be produced that would have a couple analog and digital I/Os and ethernet.  That's a board that could really be used in production.
