Will the firmware in the Netduino/Netduino Mini be able to support the WizNet W5300 chip? What about the older W5100 chip?
If so, how would program implementation differ from netwrk-aware coding in the Netduino Plus?

Hi Charles,
You can use our open source (experimental) Wiznet drivers on any .NET MF board, including Netduino and Netduino Mini. They replicate the .NET MF object model so that you can write code that's compatible with the Netduino Plus.
The drivers currently supports TCP and UDP clients. We'll be adding TCP servers and DNS soon as well--although community contributions (and the MF toolkit) fill in those gaps already if you want to put the parts together.

Not sure about the W5300 chip...

I only inquired about the 5300 because it can handle 8 sockets simultaneously vs. the 5100's 4 simultaneous sockets.

If the 5300 is protocol compatible with the 5100 (i.e. one would just to tweak the buffer allocation), it should be pretty easy to make the Wiznet drivers work with both. Do you already have a 5300 module?

It just arrived... Haven't had time to give it a whorl yet though. Hopefully next week.
