I thought I should do something while I wait for the breakout board that will allow me to program the netduino mini.
Once I get that I will make some tutorials showing uhm... something, go ahead and leave some replies of things you would like me to make a tutorial on and I'll pick one.
But back to this video:

Thanks to CW2 for this:

In general, the value of current limiting resistor is calculated as R = (VCC - VF)/IF, where VCC is the supply voltage, VF is LED forward voltage (aka drop) and IF is LED forward current

:) Sometimes I'll use the 5V or 3.3V power regulator outputs on my Netduino to drive other electronics. Clever "first project" -- no code or serial cable needed! Chris

It was a nice way to get started, but next week I will probably upload a tutorial. I'm thinking I could upload one showing how to hook up a 3.3V regulator and a Piezo Buzzer with an LED. Do you have anything in mind that you would like me to do for a beginner's tutorial (for the netduino mini)?

The first question people will have is "what's a good way to hook this up to power and to my computer?" Then they'll want to do something cool with it. LEDs are good start. Hooking up an RGB LED is great too. Then motors, buzzers, etc. etc.

We'll try to put together some tutorials as well... Thanks for all your help and enthusiasm, Omar.

Chris
