Hi guys, I was hoping you all can direct me to some literature to accompany the "Getting Started with Netduino" and "Getting Started with the Internet of Things." I plan to write code in C# (only because VB seems less common among the forums), and I plan to base most of my projects on controlling Dynamixel servos and standard hobby servos, and subsequently making error handling corrections to said servo movement based on distance detector feedback (ultrasonic sensors seem to be the most popular). Hoping you guys will have suggestions for books I can read on the technical subjects above. Furthermore, any books that will enrich my understanding of the Netduino in general will be helpful too. The links below look like they'll be good, and the weigh in at 500 and 700 pages respectively. http://www.amazon.co...ywords=netduino http://www.amazon.co...ywords=netduino Thanks guys, Brian

Hi Brian, Jens Kühner's book is really good from the software side. Some of the topics he treats are not available on the Netduino. I bought the second book as a Kindle Edition just after it came out, but haven't really looked at it. I can loan it to you through Amazon. They require: Recipient E-mail address and Recipient Name. Just double click my name and go to my Profile and send me email if you are interested. Also, do a Google search on the TinyClr forum. Sometimes you can find something good. <search topic> site:www.tinyclr.com/forum Baxter P.S. Welcome to the Forum

Brian, there are lots of resources available for the .NETMF programmer -- both online and in print.
I was going to recommend the Professional's Guide to .NET Micro Framework Application Development (Malin & Liming), but I see you already have that on your list. You won't be disappointed with that one.
You'll find, however, that the best resources are right here in the forums! There is a LOT of talent and helpful folks in here.

There are 10 types of people in the world... Those that can understand binary and those who can't.

And you can't beat the kindle price of 9.99 for the Malin/Liming book. Definitely agree its a great resource.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I have some reading to catch up on. I appreciate the offer, Baxter, to borrow the book, but I always prefer a hard copy of things. Thanks guys
