Is there a diagnostic sketch that comes loaded on a Netduino Plus when you first take it out of the box? Or is it just the boot loader that is running. Straight out of the box, pressing the button strobes through the Ethernet LED's. I'm wondering if it is a handy test routine and I'm afraid to overwrite it until I figure out how to get a copy or extract it from the device I have.

There is nothing to worry about. The devices only come with the latest firmware at the time of manufacture which does not include a diagnostic program. I usually end up flashing with the latest firmware as soon as I get a new device just to make sure it is on the same revision of firmware that I'm currently using.
Cheers!

I believe that without being mapped, the button acts as a reset. So each time you hit the button, you're resetting the device. Is there a diagnostic sketch that comes loaded on a Netduino Plus when you first take it out of the box?
