So I decided to update my netduino plus to 4.2. I went through the steps (erase on gold pad, bootloader, ef config and ef flash). I think it all worked. I get the results below from mfdeploy. All that seems right I guess. However, when I go to deploy a project via VS2010, I get the error "Device not found or cannot be opened - USB:Netduino Plus". I could deploy before the upgrade attempt. So my question is: did I somehow flash the wrong thing or do it the wrong way? Or is there something in VS2010 I need to change? Other things I tried: I switched the project's settings from USB to Serial, then back again, with the USB name being NetDuino_NetDuino. On more interesting note: after doing all of this, the program that had been on the Netduino was still on there. Maybe that's normal, but I'm trying to give all the info I can. Thanks for any help you can give. Ping Result Pinging... You did flash the Netduino Plus version and not the non plus version ... right ?

Its just that looking at the report it says "HalSystemInfo.halVendorInfo: Netduino (v4.2.0.0) by Secret Labs LLC"

Just a thought

Cheers Pete.
I was going to change the world, then I discovered Netduino.
The world will have to wait.

Hi John, As Pete mentioned... It looks like your board got flashed with the "regular Netduino" firmware instead of "Netduino Plus." You can do this, but you'll lose the networking feature on your Netduino and you'll need to change the deployment name in project properties as you have done. If you erase and reflash using the Netduino Plus firmware instead, you should be good to go. Please let us know how that goes and if we can be of further assistance. Chris

Thanks. I should have responded last night. That was indeed my problem. I had thought I was flashing the Plus firmware, but I was wrong. Once I did that, everything worked great.
