For the price, you can't beat Seeed's PCB service. I was using a custom footprint for the STM chip, and had neglected to put in solder mask clearance. D'oh!

They replied back and asked if that was right, including the attached image. Remember, I'm paying $9.95 for 10 5cmx5cm max PCBs here.

BTW, just saw that DFRobot now has a similar offer at similar prices, but they are less expensive when it comes to different surface finishes and colored solder mask.

LOL! These "Sega" controllers I picked up for like $3 each are *totally* legit, I swear! Attached File  sega.jpg   326.75KB   17 downloads

Ok, folks. After the Atari one comes out, which one next? Which interface would you buy? Attached File  gamepads.jpg   307.94KB   19 downloads Pete

Hey, I've got that right one too, and working already. I haven't added it to my toolbox yet, because of limited time, but attached you'll find some code, maybe it can help you out.

Atari is definitely the #1 pick. I think that the classic Nintendo controller would be the #2 pick, since it's so iconic.

Cool, thanks Stefan

I was thinking of making a legit GO module, but I picked up a couple of those Parallax boards just for testing, plus some of the loose connectors. Note that Parallax has end-of-lifed the boards, so I wouldn't expect to see them around in the future.

Atari is definitely the #1 pick. I think that the classic Nintendo controller
would be the #2 pick, since it's so iconic.

Sounds like a vote :)

The first prototype Atari boards are in customs after an unusally long time in shipping (ordered August 3, shipping August 8. Had I known they would take this long, I'd have punted and just ordered a ton rather than a 10pc greenboard sample. For $1/board with free shipping, I guess this is the price :P Attached File  slow_boat_from_china.png   10.67KB   16 downloads Pete

I would go pick them up at NY customs if I could :)

I'm looking forward to seeing your first tests!
