Hi all, I'm a newbie (3 hours with a netduino); I have been playing with my newly acquired netduino with blinking leds, threads, and preparing to read a joystick. All was well (once I found the 3.3v -> AREF hints) then, suddenly, I cannot download anything. MFDeploy sees the netduino, but there is no response to a ping, or any other communication (Show device capabilities, erase, deploy, ...). I was not doing anything unruly, just blinking the onboard led. It never got remotely hot, but have I fried the device? Is there a way to "clear" and reprogram? I tried to apply the 4.1.0 p4 patch, but MFDeploy could not communicate. Any suggestions are appreciated. /D

Hi dvenable, It may be that the Netduino app is stuck in some sort of deadlock. Try this: 1. Unplug all power and USB from your Netduino 2. Start up MFDeploy.exe, choose USB transport 3. Hold down the pushbutton on your Netduino. Do not let go. 4. While holding down the pushbutton, plug your Netduino into the PC via USB. 5. Now, press the PING button in MFDeploy. It should say "Pinging...TinyBooter". 6. Now, press the ERASE button in MFDeploy. This will erase your Netduino app. 7. Unplug your Netduino and re-attach it to your PC. You should be good to go. Thanks guys! I had tried that approach already without luck, but then thought I may have misread. This time I kept the button down while I pinged, and it worked. I am now deploying the p4 patch! Thanks for your help - it is really great to have a resource of helpful, listening ears!

Glad your Netduino is back up and running for you... And BTW, welcome to the community! Chris
