Hi,

You don't need a shield base module at all for the touch display module. Both are seperate stand-alone modules with different functions.

I saw the comment on youtube that you made, but will answer it here (had problem accepting the comment on youtube, don't know why).

Anyway as stated above you don't need the shield base to use the RGB LCD display. In the video I was using the shield base for input and output to my program.

The shield has a very nice 12 bit ADC plus all of the digital IOs for driving relays etc. While the shield base is still in Beta (i.e. all of the intended feature are not enabled yet) it still a very usfull module. The digital inputs/outputs, analog inputs/outputs and PWM outputs are currently working. New things are right around the corner, see the attached pinout (from Gutworks).

The video shows the use of the TMP36 temperature sensor, Display, shield base and Netduino Go.
