Hi, all. Will I be better off if I use one laptop for programming my ND+, and another to program the NDGo! when it arrives? If I use the same development machine for both of them, are there any caveats? Thanks, Gareth

I use a single machine to develop for everything; mini, classic, plus, go. No issues found.

Hi Gorf The only caveat I would add is that it seems deploying 4.1 code to ND's and ND+'s using the 4.2 driver seems to cause more BSOD's (this has been my experience, but their are several threads in the firmware forum detailing work around, or avoidable steps to mitigate the risk) but YMMV and the BSOD issue is apparently only caused by certain machine configs.. However my GO has worked flawlessly :) However Microsoft are working on a QFE (aka hotfix) 2 release of netmf 4.2 (scheduled for a mid July release) which uses a totally different USB architecture for the driver which should make the BSOD's a thing of the past. And Chris has stated that the 4.2 RC6 firmware for the netduino and netduino plus shall be based around the QFE 2 release. Nak.

Many thanks for the replies. Nak, I'd already updated to 4.2 before getting the Go! and found that I was getting the occasional BSoD with the plus. Not enough to be bothersome, though...

:) Just noticed I got a -1 for my original post. How weird is that? I've posted far more badtempered, unhelpful, pointless forum posts than that...

Strange! Don't take it personal though ;) I think someone misclicked. Can't see why it should be unappropiate ;)

Compared to some of my other rants - I agree... :)
