Hi everyone, A simple question that I have been trying to find an answer to; is it possible to connect Netduino to a bluetooth board such as http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10404, and connect to it with Visual Studio C#? I am trying to connect the EMG sensor: http://www.instructa...ame-Controller/ wirelessly through Netduino and get the readings on a WPF window. Any advices will be really appreciated, Thank you, Shehab

Hi Shehab,

Thank you for dropping by the chat room and welcome to the community! As we had discussed with a couple of the other community members, you certainly can do some great things with wireless communication and WPF - and that's just for starters!

You have chosen a very interesting project, and one that I will certainly be following closely since it's closely resembles an EEG project I am currently working on. :D

I believe you had mentioned that you have all the other necessary components for the project, and are just missing the Netduino and a wireless device. As suggested earlier, the Xbee kit from Sparkfun is a great place to start, and I'm sure you will find yourself using it for a multitude of other Netduino projects.

I was wondering, did you purchase the kit from Advancer Technologies? If so which one?

Please keep everyone updated with your progress, and I would love to see another EEG Netduino project on Instructables.com

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Gutswork, Thank you for replying to my post, I am still working on the project. I was wondering if you have received your components, I have started using WPF with the Serial Port of the Xbee USB explorer and I can send data and see the LED flashing, I am still having issues connecting the EMG sensor to Netduino and getting the results on the WPF window. I am also having an issue with the Xbee shield on top of the Netduino, it doesn't fit very well, I think it was designed for Arduino and now, it is just not fitting perfectly; here is the kit I bought: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9897 As for the EMG, I bought the V2 one, and they are very helpful at Advanced Technology, they will answer all the questions you have. Let me know your progress and good luck Shehab

Thanks a lot for your example! It really help me a lot with my bluetooth module,
it's not the same as the one you have there but works great!

Thanks again! :D
