Thanks for your enthusiasm. The first big batch should come off the line around the end of the month.

MSRP for the SD card module is $14.95.

Hi nakchak,

Awesome news :D, any where to pre order from?

I would recommend pinging your favorite reseller:
http://www.netduino..../?pn=netduinogo

Cana-Kit is also a Netduino Go reseller.

Also any news on the ethernet module?

We're doing some final tweaks in regards to power and impedence on the Ethernet module... I will have an update this week for sure.

Chris

(Oops sorry, just saw someone else already asked that)

Hi Giuliano,

Any updates on the SD card module for the Go?

Quick update: we have received the first big batch of SD card modules, and are finishing up the SD Card module integration with Netduino Go. We want to avoid requiring too many in-field upgrades and we want these to work as smoothly as possible...

I'll post again soon when I have another update. Once we ship these to resellers, it should only take about a week for them to be available online.

Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm,

Chris

I would ping your favoite local reseller as soon as they're announced. All authorized resellers can get them.

Regarding Amazon: Amazon.com in the USA carries all Netduino hardware.

God damn I hope those modules are ready for shipping in about 24 hours... otherwise I might have brought a NGo Startkit, Shieldbase and other stuff, that I can't use for my finals anyways :s

Nah, the release date is in less than 24 hours ;) Or at least according to http://nwazet.com/gosd and http://shop.microfra...ctOut.aspx/4801 .... and if Fabien, who I expect is the reseller at nwazet.com doesn't know anything, it doesn't seem good...

That link does seem kind of interresting through... thanks ;)

Hi Nicky,

and if Fabien, who I expect is the reseller at nwazet.com

We do resell Netduino Go! products and develop our own Netduino Go! modules.

doesn't know anything, it doesn't seem good...

As you noticed, the release dates announced by Secret Labs for the SD card and the Ethernet modules have been pushed back several times. Secret Labs communicated to us on Sept 4th that the SD card module would be available this month, by the 29th at the latest. My guess is that Secret Labs postponed the release of these modules until Maker Faire, along with a third 'mystery' module, to make as much noise as possible around Netduino Go!.

However, we expected to have the SD card reader module ready by the 29th in order to fulfill pre-orders and that's not the case. Unfortunately, we're getting ready to issue refunds to folks who have ordered the SL SD card reader orders tomorrow if it is not publicly released. We'll also remove the SD card reader from our store until it is actually available and functional.

I understand that you have a Shield Base already, but if you need SDHC storage, you should seriously consider our DAQ module: http://nwazet.com/da...uisition-module.

-Fabien.

Quick update on the SD module (from this morning's news...)

SD Card modules have arrived, and we'll be posting a firmware update to support them soon (within a few weeks). We didn't want to ship them this weekend and have users disappointed that the supporting firmware wasn't available yet...but we'll be releasing them to resellers shortly.

We were planning to get the new firmware posted this week, but we (the Secret Labs team and community members who have been generously working behind the scenes) simply ran out of time. I'm really sorry about that.

We've been working on an announcement and a new module for GoBus 1.5 which we promised O'Reilly we'd introduce at MakerFaire...and unfortunately we didn't allocate enough time to everything.

There are at least two firmware updates coming this month:
1. Shield Base...3 UARTs via GoBus 1.5
2. SD Card firmware update

We'll be mostly offline at MakerFaire the next two days; please stop by and say hi if you're at the event!

Chris

P.S. If you need SD access using the System.IO classes right now, you can wire up an SD card breakout using a GoBus Breakout (or a Gadgeteer Extender) module. I think that Nwazet also provides a set of file classes with their DAQ board (from Fabien's post, above).

Thanks for the explanation Chris. I just issued a refund this morning to everyone who had pre-ordered an SD card module.

Indeed, the DAQ provides a drop-in replacement for System.IO and you can see how it works here: http://nwazet.com/co...Q/10-FileSystem

Thanks,

Cheers,
-Fabien.
