It would seem like the C code I'm writing for communicating between my custom module and GO! via SPI is going to be fairly common across most of my modules.
Just like I include stm8s_spi.c in my project, I'd love to include something like stm8s_go.c/h in my project with libraries to help with module initialization and pass data back-and-forth. A corresponding C# library would also rock!
Is this something we might expect to be as part of standard firmware?

That's a great idea. Let's circle back on this conversation once we get a bit closer...and make sure we incorporate the best ideas to enable these kinds of scenarios. Is this something we might expect to be as part of standard firmware?
