Hi Dave,

We're waiting on the microchips right now. Once they arrive, about 3-4 weeks to manufacture and 1-2 weeks to get into distribution. Chips should be here soon. I'll keep you guys updated.

Fabien Royer of Nwazet has managed to wire up a SD card for his touch screen demo app. He alludes to it here: http://fabienroyer.w...ng-out-sockets/

The software for the touch display includes the driver for this, so if you want to roll your own now you could.

I will add that I would like to see an analog audio / synthesizer shield module. The shield would contain a few dedicated functions like a couple of voltage controlled oscillators (VCO's) and a couple voltage controlled filters (VCF's). Perhaps even this board could have connectors like the Go board to add additional functions. We would like to build custom guitar pedals and synthesizers. An NGO and board like this could be the great beginning of one of these projects.

Here's my building block wish list: • A micro GO board. Same size as the switch block and just 1 or 2 sockets, full Neduino chip. Ultra low cost, getting started stuff, single job board. Say monitor temperature and then report on it through Ethernet. • Usb to go!bus. Helps to program the micro GO board, other utility tasks. • Connector boards(s). 2, 4, 6 or more go!bus connectors. Think of it as a companion to the micro GO board. Micro GO board + the soon-to-be-released Ethernet module = nanode. connector board + Micro GO board = Netduino GO. Micro GO board + shieldbase = Neduino++. The possibilities are endless! Jack

Just thought of another one:

  • .net micro framework based prototyping board. go!bus on one side, usb (for programming), neduino chip and all the pins broken out to 0.1 pitch headers.

That would help electronic noobs like me - perhaps this is what the shield base is really for?

You can run .net mf on the STM Discoveryboard, I couldn't find the link again,and I'm still waiting for my boards, but that would help a bit.
And with things like this:

you can hook up your n!go to an breadboard for playing with the bus.

protoadvantage even have an service where you can order and adapter, on which they solder the chip of your choice, like this:

So you can stick an stm8 or something into your breadboard.
