I haven't touched much hardware since a single class I had in college, I'd like a refresher in all things hardware. I have the software side down. Is this a good book? http://www.amazon.co...m=AG56TWVU5XWC2 Can someone suggest any others?

I have this book and and it is a good gentle refresher. Covers breadboarding, resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, 555 timer, voltage dividers, etc. Baxter

I cant vouch for this particular book, but i have a lot of this other books that radio shack used to publish in the 80's and 90's and can say that i learnt an awful lot from his writing:

funnily enough it seems to be bundled with the first book you highlighted.

I can also recommend watching through http://www.eevblog.com for some excellent theory and general enthusiasm about all things electronics

I own both of those and think they are great resources. The Forrest M. Mims III book may seem hokey from the artistic style and such, but it's chock full of good information. I've read and re-read it several times.

"Electrical Engineering 101" by Darren Ashby. I found it on Sparkfun. An excellent and complete education on what to do with electrons. And very readable too

OK one more shameless plug for my book The Complete Idiots Guide to Electronics 101 the last chapters are on Netduino thanks to a lot of help from the folks on this forum. I have a couple of copies I could send out if you will write a honest review on Amazon. http://www.amazon.co...36150300&sr=8-1
