I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Netduino family, Netduino Plus. Just $59.95 (USD).

In a nutshell, Netduino Plus is a Netduino -- plus integrated Ethernet and Micro SD.
tech specs and details

Netduino Plus uses the open-source lwIP networking stack and production-quality open-source FAT16/FAT32/SD drivers.

A few design features that we hope you'll find useful:

[*]Ethernet jack is low-profile and hard plastic: no worries about accidentally grounding/shorting Arduino shields
[*]Supports most Micro SD cards up to 2GB (SD via SPI, FAT16/FAT32). Integrated card detect.
[/list]Thank you all for being such a terrific community,

Chris, I have no microSD atm, so will need to buy one. Could you post a list of cards that are known to work?

Chris,

I bought this one today, and it seems to work (well, I can read the directories and file names, but there seems to be a problem with reading file contents).

$9.99 at Office Depot in the US.
Thanks,

hello, i am newbee to c# vs2010express and tne Netduino plus. i purchased the netduino plus for a project which requires communication over the web. i have been able to program it and it runs when connected directly to the ethernet of the computer by ethernet cable, after i had made static ip for it, dhcp is enabled. some of the problems i haven't been able to resolve: 1) it is not able to connect over the ethernet --even with dhcp enabled. 2) i need a gui in the browser for interacting with it 3) the gui needs to have buttons to control on/off state are there any sample codes to do this? is c# express 2010 limited to no gui? i am quite exasperated after spending 3 days without getting it to work properly. in fact i am considering returning it, using the pic products seems easier. Please provide any help you can, my email is lktron@yahoo.com thank you mike

Hello! I bought a 12V DC power supply for my netduino. Measuring the output voltage it's around 12.20 V. Is it safe to use this for long periods? I know it should work with 20Vs also, so 12.20 V probably shouldn't cause any overheating problems, is that right?

Hi Psysoul and welcome to the community, 12.2V with a Netduino Plus won't be a problem, you can safely use it.

Hi Psysoul, As Stefan said, you should be fine. If you need to deliver several 100mA of current to shields and components, you'll probably want to find a 7.5V power adapter (since the voltage difference is wasted in heat). Chris

Is there somewhere a WishList for the Netduino Plus. I want to add on the list for the next generation N+ please, more memory. And my friend and my father hates that the arduino can do more with the serialport (invert Rx/Tx), so he wish to add that too  greetings Ellen.

With the Netduino Plus V2 is one problem solved, more memory. One to go the serial invert Rx.Tx. We want to beat the Arduino in every way. We are looking forward when the Netduino V2 is available in the Netherlands. Ellen.

Hi Ellen,

The alternate function mappings are fixed to specific peripherals and functions for each pin, there isn't a hardware way to invert Rx and Tx. Though, using a custom software library and bypassing the hardware peripheral, you should be able to.
