I'm interested in experimenting with the Netduino Mini. But I was hoping to use the GNUARM/Cygwin toolchain. (I.e., I was hoping to NOT have to use Visual C# Express or the .NET Micro Framework.) Status: I have a Mini in a Stamp BOE (serial). It boots (?) and I see: .NetMF v4.1.2821.0 NetduinoMini, Build Date: Feb 14 2011 00:59:53 ARM Compiler version 400902 TinyCLR (Build 4.1.2821.0) Starting... Created EE. Started Hardware. Then I see a bunch of "garbage." Then it continues: No debugger! Create TS. Loading start at 134134, end 1462d4 (I've deleted a dozen lines about "attaching files" and "loading deployment assemblies." And eventually I get...) Ready. and it doesn't seem to be responsive after that. I have used other AT91 MCUs in the past, and I've used SAM-BA until I got my own bootloader up and going. So a side question is: Is it possible to use the ROM boot program that Atmel puts in the internal ROM (re: Atmel AT91SAM7X512/256/128 datasheet (doc 6120I), sec. 21 "AT91SAM Boot Program")? Anyone else have similar interest and/or experience? Thanks and Regard, Tom

Hi Tom, There's a gold ERASE pad in the lower-left corner of your Netduino Mini. If you apply low voltage power to it very briefly, you'll then be able to use SAM-BA to flash anything you want via the Netduino Mini's RS232 UART. We made sure it was fully hackable and open :) Chris

Thanks a million! That was my guess (looking at the Netduino Mini schematic. But I wanted to get a second opinion, lest I end up "bricking" it.
