I am working out how to power a few devices and have a question... If I power netduino w/ 800ma 5v source on the 5v header, and I have a usb device that needs power: - a ) Will the micro-usb socket on the netduino provide 5v? - b ) How much can I draw on the micro-usb? Thought I would ask first,,, before cooking something! Thanks!

Hi samjones, The MicroUSB port on the Netduino is a USB "Device" port. It's designed to provide power to the Netduino, not to power other devices from it... [Not that that's not technically possible to do, but I wouldn't recommend it.] If you want to power another device via 5V, I'd recommend using the 5V pin header and giving the Netduino itself power via the VIN header or the power barrel jack. Chris P.S. MicroUSB 2.0 jacks are generally rated for 500mA+
