Just checking if a Table of Contents is available anywhere yet for "Getting Started with Netduino." The O'Reilly website shows a TOC, but unfortunately it includes entries like:

  • Chapter 1 : Connecting to IRC
  • Introduction: Hacks #1-4
  • IRC from Windows
  • IRC from Linux
  • IRC from Mac OS X
  • IRC with ChatZilla
  • Chapter 2 : Using IRC

Thanks!

Thanks for noticing the mismatched Table of Contents!

Perhaps we can submit that as errata? ;)

I spoke with my editor, and he said they're finishing up the publication details...and that the page should be updated in the next week or so.

Here is the actual table of contents.

  • Preface
  • Chapter 1. Introducing Netduino
  • Chapter 2. Settings up the Free Tools
  • Chapter 3. First Projects
  • Chapter 4. Expansion Shields and Electronic Components
  • Chapter 5. Digital and Analog IO with the MakerShield
  • Chapter 6. Breadboards and LEDs
  • Chapter 7. Sound and Motion
  • Chapter 8. Connecting to the Internet
  • Appendix A. Upgrading Firmware
  • Appendix B. Developing Netduino Apps with Mono

Alas, I won't. I could mail you my copy when it arrives, or I could just buy one off of you if you'd prefer. Anything to help a struggling author. :)

If you ever make it to western Germany, The Netherlands or Belgium give me a shout and I'll be there.

Nice to hear the book is nearly ready. Amazon.de is trying to convince me to cancel my order once a quarter. "we can not give you a delivery date for your order - are you sure you still want this ?". :D

Chris,
It looks to me like the same file is uploaded for both chapters?

Hi emg,

Chris,

Good observation. O'Reilly made one PDF with both chapters in it.

They're in there, I promise :)

Chris
