Hi, I'm an old ex clipperhead, now VB express2010 hobby programmer who has stumbled upon Netduino and am hooked. Netduino is ordred and will be here in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I thought I'd use the MS emulator - not all that usefull I think - and found a reference here to http://netduinoemulator.codeplex.com/ Seems great - so I installed VC# Express (Yet an other steep learning curve) and of corse I ran into a problem. I'm running Win7 and when debugging the emulator code - I have a problem with MSVSMON.EXE. Something does'nt like the 64 bit version. However it builds just fine - so I'm thinking - use the finished NetduinoEmulator.exe. All I want, at this stage is to see the LED blink. For those still reading, we finally arrive at my question: How/where do I install the NetduinoEmulator.exe in VB 2010 Express? Tom Edit And now I realise that this should have been in the VB forum, Sorry

Hi, Thonord It's already in Vb 2010, but I think you need to install the 4.2 Micro framework and the Netduino firmware before VB. Make your new application under the project template as .Net Micro Framework. Right click on the project name and select properties. Under deployment, transport, select Emulator. USB will give you the hardware interface. Baxter

Thanks for the answer Baxter.

I have updated to the 4.2 Micro framework and the Netduino firmware, but I did that after installing VB. I'll try reinstalling VB.

But, I think you may have missunderstood my confused ramblings.
I find the MS emulator in VB and it works (just doesn't do anything at this stage)

What I want to do is install the emulator from codeplex. (The one I couldn't debug, but seems to build fine, in VC#).
I hope to be able to choose in VB, under deployment - transport, between the built-in MS-Emulator and the Netduino Emulator.

Thanks
Tom
