PoE?!? That's pretty cool. It will probably work (although it never hurts to double-check with the vendor to make sure they support incoming 3.3V signals).

-You NEED an antenna with it.

-Need sim card.(I used an AT&T card)
-Supports standard AT commands
-Give it about 5 seconds after it receives power before sending AT commands.
(It sends status info when it starts up and this may be confusing when you are expecting a response to your AT command.)
-Needs more power than the USB power. (for testing i powered the netduino with a 9V battery and that worked fine.)
-Configured for digital I/O pins 2 and 3 for serial communication. (use port COM2)
-Should be pre-set for 9600bps. (Mine was. Earlier versions have reportedly been pre-set to 115200bps)

Recently I get TFT-LCD shield for Arduino. When the TFT-LCD shield was used with Netduino, I met the problem. By information from this forum, I solved the problem. Thanks lynxeyed_atsu and Chris. TFT-LCD shield use pin4 as SPI chip select. Netduino can only select pin10 as CS.
My conclusion is that TFT-LCD shield is almost compatible shield.

The only Grove component I haven't tried with the Netduino yet is the LCD. I've written about my experiences with the Netduino and Grove here.

While I have not tried the PoE functions, I have the Freetronics ethernet shield (http://www.freetroni...shield-with-poe) and it works perfectly with the SecretLabs experimental drivers. Not a bad bit of hardware at all :-)
Richard, would you mind posting a link to the "experimental drivers"? I went to the netduino site and couldn't find them, nor was I able to pull up anything on google.

This shield is not directly compatible with the Netduino. It expects PWM interface on data pins 3 and 11. The Netduino does not support PWM on those pins. So I bent those pins over on the underside of the board to prevent that connection and jumpered those connections to data pins 9 and 10 where the Netduino can provide PWM.
There is also a solder jumper "V-Logic" which must be changed from it's delivered setting of 5V to instead use 3.3V logic levels compatible with the Netduino.
Other than that, usage was straight-forward.

This shield may not be directly compatible with the Netduino as it uses a diode on the XBee DIN line to interface with the Arduino 5V logic levels. This is not required when interfacing to the 3.3V logic levels of the Netduino, so I shorted it with a small piece of wrirewrap wire. I don't know if it would have worked without modification with the Netduino Plus as I did not try it.

I successfully tested a few shields, with 100% functionality but a few footnotes:

Footnote: It's not the same as from sparkfun.com or so, it's their own brand. Still it works the same when pins are set correctly like this.
WiiChuck Adapter
More details in this thread.
ProtoScrewShield
Same as the proto shield but with screw terminals.
Footnote: The led is connected to D13, you could discard it or use it as Tx-led for the SPI interface like I did.
Tip: Useful to combine with an additional Arduino Stackable Header Kit and Breadboard Mini to get this result from the upside: [image]
This way, you can still stack other shields onto it and use the pins at the same time.
Relay Shield
Footnotes:
- It mentions it works by D0 to D3 but actually this is Pins.GPIO_PIN_D7 to Pins.GPIO_PIN_D4.
- It requires an external power supply of at least 9 volts to power the relays. It can get this from the Netduino power supply, but it won't work on only USB power.
Tip: I used an additional Arduino Stackable Header Kit so it won't be laying on the screwshield. This way there is some room to actually have something on the board below.

Happen to know this USB Host (product DEV-09947) from SparkFun is compatible with Netduino Plus?
Currently I am looking for a USB host shield to extend the capabilities to read USB Flash/thumb drives.
I would like to know has anyone done this kind of project before.

Current limitations:
I have not ported over the VL_Loader program so you need to use a Arduino or write your own to load sounds.
This is my first time writing code like this please use my drivers at your own risk and let me know what I can do to make them better.
