Does anybody know a good supplier from which to obtain some of the 8 pin and 6 pin sockets that are found on the edge of shield boards? They appear to be about 0.75" overall with about 0.35" tall sockets and 0.4" tall pins. I'm trying to make a shield prototype and those sockets seem to be one of the hardest components to find. Many thanks to anyone who can steer me to a supplier!

Hi there CoolComponents is the supplier I use - I've found they're very quick to deliver any time I've used them. Are these the components you mean? http://www.coolcompo...products_id=348 http://www.coolcompo...products_id=347 I hope this helps - they're probably best if you're based in Europe, if you're somewhere else I'm sure another person on the forum can recommend a supplier :) Cheers, Jeremy

Or if you're living in the US: http://www.sparkfun.com/categories/91 Sparkfun also has a lot of distributors world-wide: http://www.sparkfun.com/distributors

Thank you, Stefan! That's exactly what I'm looking for. I was searching the SparkFun website last night and wasn't able to find these for some reason. Thanks, John
