Well, guess what showed up at my doorstep today? Yup, The Legendary BOCS is in Redmond, WA :) I'll get it moving again next week after trading a few goodies. Cheers, -Fabien.

My apologies for the delay in getting the BOCS moving. It's been crunch time for me lately...

Anyway: here's what I took out of the box:

Out (2 casters, 2 mices, a bunch of solenoids, a DVD laser, and screen cleaners)

and here's what I put into it:

In (a bluetooth earpiece, ~100 color LEDs, a Core Duo 2 Pentium 4 processor, a PIX-6T4 PCB, a blue LCD screen with a matching serial backpack, 5 analog joysticks, 2 Arduino clones, 3 quadrature encoders, 1 set of iPod headphones)

I hope someone will find this stuff useful: it all works and just needs to find a purpose again :)

Cheers,
-Fabien.

Surviving, thriving ;) This ain't your daddy's IBuySpy Portal :D

The box finally made it home with me, it missed the connection last night! I should have it back in the mail on Friday, though I still have to go through it.

Fill out the form at http://bit.ly/BOCSSignup and you'll be added to the end of the list.

Dan, maybe you should edit the first post (if you can) and add a note to that effect?

Can haz box! Small note before we get into the box, yeah I've been absent from the community for a bit, I'll be back to my regular presence when school lets go of my neck. I took out the big fancy stepper and the AMD CPU, which luckily enough fit in some mobo i had lying around. An interesting project will come from that, hopefully you shall see it soon. Picture of what I took - http://dl.dropbox.co...45/DSCN0322.JPG Now to the goodies you will find! I took a picture of the contents all laid out, find the fairly large image here: http://dl.dropbox.co...45/DSCN0341.JPG My contributions are (enclosed in red in the picture): Ziplock bags(All salvaged from a CRT monitor pcb.): caps resistors diodes and one with mosfets, inductors and some dip chip. Salvaged from an old printer are three pcbs, one of which is a funky big button pad, and three motors (2 steppers and one dc) Now to pack this all up as best as possible, OCD engage...

Omar great, thanks for doing a full box update, I'll make sure you get the next address soon if you don't already have it. What's amazing to me is there are SO few things I can see there that I'd originally put in the box!

For some reason I cant edit. I forgot to mention that in order to save space I will keep the box with some sort of data logger thing out of the BoCS, but if anyone wishes to get that, post here so I can put it back into circulation. Its kinda big and takes up too much room.

It's alright, you have permission to open the box if you stop folding proteins ;)
