Hi Adam,

I was doing a deploy to the netduino+ and it just seemed to hang, and unfortunately i pulled the cable out from the PC and it BSOD me.

If this happens to you again, would it be possible to grab the crash info and submit it as a bug to the netmf.codeplex.com website?

As a side note: Netduino uses the standard NETMF driver. So the info you provide to Microsoft will help anyone using .NET MF (and possibly anyone using Windows--if it's a more generic Windows USB glitch).

Hi Chris,

Just to see if it was the firmware or not I flashed back to 4.1, I'll reflash the beta and see if I can reproduce, if I can get it to consistently BSOD i will add steps to the ticket already open.

Happens to me too quite a lot. Same setup win7 64 / vs 2010. Ctrl+break-ing the deployment and resetting the board seems to be the only solution I have found. Has the netduino driver been updated for the 4.2 beta?

As I understand it, the .NET MF driver has not changed since .NET MF 4.0. If it changes, we can certainly recompile it.

Hi Alphons,

4.2.0 Beta 1, def. no UDP working (NTP fails) going back to 4.1 resolves this issue.
If this is known, sorry for herrassing you ;) .

This may have been fixed in the .NET MF 4.2 RC1 release. We'll be posting a version of the Netduino firmware using this release early next week... If you can test against the new release, I'd appreciate it!

I'm not sure if this is a bug or just unfortunate.

I was doing a deploy to the netduino+ and it just seemed to hang, and unfortunately i pulled the cable out from the PC and it BSOD me.

I'm running win7 64bit, vs2010 professional.

Had the same problem today. Saw the GREEN Screen Of Death for the first time.
Commented on codeplex.
I use .Net MF 4.2 RC1 on PC, but my Netduino+ has stock firmware.

Hi I just upgraded to 4.2.0.0 RC1 from 4.1 and I have the same trouble with UDP as Alphons. What was working NTP code now just hangs on the socket.Connect(ep); Please fix.

On the bright side my web server hasn't had a out of memory exception since the upgrade whereas before they were common.

This is a known issue. The fix should be in the 4.2 RC3 release expected within a week. See the relevant discussion here.
