Hi :) Just a random question that popped my mind. I have heard a few pronunciations of the word 'Netduino' (and 'Arduino'), but I'm wondering how it should be pronounced. I myself pronounce it as 'netdwienoo', but I also have heard people call it 'netdunoo'. Now I'm curious. What is right, and what is wrong? ;)

Stefan!...do you work too much?!? What kind of question is that? From my viewpoint the best pronounce is the Italian one (!)...Arduino is a common Italian male name, even rarely used. Netduino could be its american cousin, but...the family is the family! Now, the problem...how to explain the listeners how these words are spoken by an Italian? I guess the american-English sound for Netduino is an attempt to mimic the Italian version. Considering the English version, I'd change the "u" like in Utrecht and the "o" as Oslo... That's a typical distortion that american people do when read Italian words. Cheers

One that grew out of curiousity, and I want to say it correctly ;)

Going to give a presentation about the Netduino next month, and don't want to look stupid.

So now it's just waiting for Chris to send in a WAV with "Hello, this is Chris Walker, and I pronounce Netduino as Netduino!", just like Linus Torvalds did once :)

Fail!...Pizza margHErita and spagHetti...(margarita is a drink and spaGEtti reads as GEneral)

I know how to pronounce, not how to write, appairently :D

Given how quickly the pluses sell out I suspect Chris pronounces it "cha-ching!"

This is good: http://translate.goo...#en|it|Netduino When you click on on Italian to English, and click on "Listen" it says it pretty well.

Where are you come from Michel?...French Canada?

I do come from Montreal, province of Quebec, Canada, and a pure bastard (Irish, French, Indian(12th generation lol), and Iberville as a ancestor) (with this mixture bastard was the only appropriate one lol) and I'm proud to be :)

You should see my smile :)

And I do pronounce doo-ee-no exactly like dwee-no lol it's just a question of speed ? :)
