Hey everyone, I just figured I should introduce myself since we'll be working together on porting this MetaDataProcessor. My name is Steven Behnke and I'm a Principal Software Engineer working for Aristocrat Technologies in Las Vegas. I spent the last year working in the innovation studio modifying our slot machine to support new hardware including high definition displays, a new interprocess communication mechanism and new OpenGL based rendering engine. This work was all in C++ using a modified version of SuSE. In June I switched departments to get back to writing code in C# again. Now I work on the progressive jackpot controller baed on Windows XP embedded. I'm just getting into electronics and am eager to see what my Netduino can do. Fortunately my beautiful wife is very understanding a d supportive of my hobbies. I believe Chris will be posting more information about how I've started the process of porting the MetaDataProcessor on Linux. I look forward to meeting you all and working with you to open the Netduino up to Mac and Linux users.
