I was hoping to throw this out there to see if anyone has an idea on how I could accomplish this with a Nplus. I have a project in mind that requires Ethernet, two com ports and an RS422 port. Hardware is not my strong suite so if anybody can point me in the right direction I'll be very grateful. I know I could use the com port plus a converter but I need both com ports for something else. Same goes for Ethernet and a converter.

This is going to require 3 UARTs and the Netduino only has two. A device like this would give you another UART via SPI: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9981 Then you'll need to shift the TTL to proper levels for RS422 (and RS232 if needed for the others).

Hi there! Luke is right: you may consider an additional UART interfaced via SPI. Another way could be trying to share the same physical UART for two different lines, by using a multiplexer. Cheers Mario
Biggest fault of Netduino? It runs by electricity.

Many Thanks for your ideas. It looks as if SPI->UART->RS422 is the only way. Found this for the final piece http://www.futurlec....ini_RS422.shtml
