That does look cool, but why not buy the Plus? I noticed it's available on Amazon (shipped from you guys) for about 20 bucks less than you would pay for the dev board plus the mini (which comes out to about 65 bucks with the current exchange rate - WAY more than the plus). Plus (no pun intended) you guys get the money - not some UK outfit .

Hi soshimo,
The Netduino Mini is perfect for embedding inside small projects. You can get a bunch of Minis and just one of SK Pang's devboards.
A big part of our goal with Netduino is to help foster a community of 3rd-party hardware. Hopefully some open source hardware enthusiasts will be able to quit their day jobs, so to say.
In this case, the designer is an authorized reseller for Netduinos...so that's pretty cool too.

That does look really nice. If I hasn't already got myself sorted with USB to SerialTTL and USB to RS232 cables and a breadboard then I might have been tempted.
Even if you've only got one Mini, the idea would be to develop and prototype your project using this board before soldering it all together into a much smaller finished project.

That's cool. Gonna get one. Good to have for Mini Prototyping.

Yes, they are a great idea. Only improvement I'd make would be to change the way the Mini is dropped into the board by using ZIF socket. Other than that, it's just what you need to work with the Mini.
I undestand what soshimo is saying, but Chris is right; I use the mini in some stuff where I wouldn't want to use a prefab-ed board like the Plus or regular Netduino for form factor reasons. As I've said in another thread, though, I'd love to see a 40-pin Mini with a SPI1 and ethernet brought out
