Hello,
I've been trying to install the neccessary software components to use the Netduino. When I tried to install the 'Netduino SDK v4.1.0 (32-bit)' I was hint by Windows XP that this software would not be running on it (I'm using Windows XP).
I had the possibility to go on with the installing process and so I ignored the presented message.
But when I tried to write my first Netduino application I the following error occurs
'Error 1 0x80131107'
I don't know how to deal with this error and I even don't know what it is about.
My question: Could there be problems with Windows XP as the warning suggests?
Windows XP 'said' that the SDK software would probably not work with the current system.
What can I do to make it work?
Thanks
Errormessage

Hi Fridge,
I think this is due to the "old" .NET not being installed on your PC. Try downloading and installing .NET 3.5 or 3.51 and please let us know if that fixes it for you.

I got the same error trying to run the first example program in "getting started". I am also running XP. So you are saying that I should not install the .NET framework it says to install in the downloads, but an earlier version instead?

Hi Bruce,
There's a versioning error in the .NET Micro Framework 4.1 QFE1 SDK. One of the tools tries to run underneath the _old_ .NET Framework. But everything else requires the new one.
You'll want to install the tools from the downloads page. Don't worry about installing an older version of .NET as well unless you get the error.
