Windows 10 not seeing device

Best Answer DiverBW, 04 September 2015 - 01:50 AM

Thanks for the help, dankline.  You got me going down the correct path, and I did get it working. But I am not totally sure how. I uninstalled and installed almost every bit of related software, reflashed my Netduino 2, etc. and eventually things started working.  I wish I knew the sequence!

It sort of feels like it may have been related to not having installed the DFU stuff before installing the .Net MF, etc. But I went through so many iterations I cannot be sure.

I upgraded my PC to Windows 10, doing a clean install.  I then installed all the required pieces, with Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 being my IDE (Update 5). I've run all Windows updates.

Neither MFDeploy nor VS2013 can see my Netduino 2 when I plug it in to the USB port.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The next place to check is Windows.  Open the Control Panel - Device Manager and see if the device shows.  It may have an exclamation point because it didn't load correctly.  Either way, I would update the driver.  Uninstall the existing driver if this doesn't work the first time and reinstall it.  Once windows sees it, the applications should be able to see it as well.
