I say bring back the mini but add a BLE chip to it and coin cell power.

will be very handy for .NET beacons.

Hey Mike,

Netduino Mini is still here and in production :)

We do a lot with Bluetooth LE at Secret Labs; I'll make sure we put a BLE-enabled Netduino Mini on our wish list.

Hi Mike,

Secret Labs built a NETMF-based, HCI-level Bluetooth stack. Using TI CC2564.

For the BLE future: we're looking at chips like the new TI CC2640.

ah yeah the TI chips are cool have a sensor tag here. Shame (except for you guys) they are going down the code red route. Be interesting to see how someone can put together some libs to allow MF to build custom GAT services based on what you want to provide. And adding advertising to MF too.

What about making the next generation of the Mini to be more breadboard friendly? That's the one thing that the BS2 does not have. It practically screams (or is it groans for?) a carrier board.

As is using them more completely does demand the things Mike requested.
