Hi guys I'm going to get a netduino as a gift and I kind of need your help. I've search the web (with a lot of help of Pete Brown, thanks!) and I've found a couple of things that I think the recipient would like. BUT I've lost the shop that had the stuff (I must have browsed 300 pages or so) I've looked at all the shops here http://10rem.net/blo...lectronics-bits and Amazon.com and also eBay. I remember reading something about a robot voice thingy (that's the technical term right? :P), and also there is a RGB LCD shield for arduino but I don't know if it goes together with the netduino or not. http://www.amazon.co...5619281&sr=8-20 (I've contacted the seller but maybe they don't answer emails on the weekends or something because I've gotten no reply in 2,5 days) or perhaps I'm just a pain in the neck, but I'm kind of in a hurry now :P Do you guys know what I'm referring to and where I can get it? (and if it's compatible with the netduino) As long as they have international shipping I don't really care what shop I'll get it from as long as they have a netduino and one (or both) of the other shields (??) (and whatever you need to go with that) :P I'm sorry If I'm out of line posting this in the forum but I have no clue to this stuff (I've only heard him speak of netduino and how cool it is that you can use .NET with it) Thank you so much for any kind of help you can give me //a Desperete Housewife

RGB shield should work fine with the Netduino, as do most shields. I think you may be referring to sparkfun.com for a lot of that stuff... :)

My wife and I found out long ago that we can never figure out what the other one wants. Our solution is to send each other email that includes links to the specific items we want. It's not romantic but we always get what we want.

we used google docs this year, so that edits (mostly additions!) could be made and she would always have the most up-to-date information.

One year I told my wife what I really wanted... Needless to say, I am no longer married ;-)

Thank you :) I've put in an order for the netduino, a voice shield (the other one was out of stock) and some other stuff now. I think my husband and I are good at getting each other gifts :) (hence the netduino ha ha), I know he really wants one. If you're in trouble you can never go wrong with chocolate, right? ;)

Did you order a Netduino Plus?

Anyway, if you can't get the Netduino you want, consider a decent single malt (Scotch whisky). It helps after the programming...

I favour the 'peaty / smoky' ones, e.g. Ardbeg or the better-known Laphroaig. But they all work...
