Netduino Plus 2 and Arduino WiFi Shield

Hi,

I have a Netduino Plus 2 and have got hold of a DFRobot WiFi shield V2.2 for an Arduino that uses the WizFi210 wifi chip,

Has anyone had any experience with this shield or know if it should work with the Netduino?  I am having trouble getting my pc to connect to be able to configure it.  I have tried a usb-serial connector but still have had no luck.  The closest I have come is to get some garbled output coming back from the shield's serial port.

 

Can anyone explain how I should be approaching the connecting from my pc to the shield to be able to configure the wifi settings?

 

any help or tips would be appreciated.
