Hi all,
Thought you might be interested in CodeClub NZ which we just launched at ITX the annual conference for the New Zealand Institute of IT professionals.

CodeClub teaches kids how to program (plus some basic electronics) using MIT Scratch, Python, and Netduinos.
We use content from CodeClub UK for the Scratch & Python labs and have developed our own for the Netduino
For the Netduino IoT labs we spend a term (8-10 weeks) teaching the basics then the next term we build projects like
2WD robots
power consumption monitors
ultrasonic rulers
heart rate monitors
EMG monitors
We have got sponsorship from several local companies to fund our programs (we charge nothing for the courses) and our launch event was sponsored by Microsoft New Zealand.
