Hi,

 

My 11 year old son is wanting to attend a Code Club which uses Netduino.  We have 2 computers which both run Windows Vista and are about 5 years old. They're an Acer Aspire 5920 and a Toshiba Satellite.  Does anybody know if it is possible to use these computers with an older version of Netduino? 

 

We have been told:

NOTE: Requires Windows 7 or newer.

1. Download & install Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop
2. Download & install the .NET Micro Framework SDK v4.3 QFE1
3. Download & install the Netduino SDK v4.3.1

Hi Teena,

The 4.2 firmware that comes on Netduino Plus 2 will work with Visual Studio 2010.

If you've upgraded your boards to VS2013, you can erase and reflash the boards with 4.2 firmware.

I'm using vista with VS 2010 and .NF 4.2. No problem so far.
