I bought a hexapod kit and 32 channel servo controller for the servos.

My goal is to use the netduino go with the servo controller via the shield base and send commands to the servos through the go.  Is this something that is compatible with the netduino go or is there something that would be easier to work with for my purposes?  I don't mind buying something better if it's easier to use.

How would I go about working with something like this through the go code?  I'm guessing an OutputPort object?

Thanks very much for your help and keep up the great work on the go!

You would use the serial port off of the shield base to talk to the serial port on the 32-channel servo controller.

Thanks. What would I use to access and send commands to the component in code?

Well I guess there's not much support for the go anymore.  Maybe I should take my project in another direction.

You should be able to use one of the serial ports on the Netduino Go directly.
No need for the shield base.
But you'd need a cable that goes into the Go Port or a breakout board if you can find one:

See here:

PS: yes it is frustrating that it seems the Netduino Go doesn't seem to get any real software updates anymore, despite repeated "announcements".
