#81Posted 19 May 2014 - 02:34 PM I managed to solve this issue. I was getting the following warning message which suggested where the problem lay:
Warning 1 The predefined type 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.ExtensionAttribute' is defined in multiple assemblies in the global alias; using definition from 'c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft .NET Micro Framework\v4.3\Assemblies\le\mscorlib.dll' D:\Data\Netduino\WebSrv\WebSrv\CSC WebSrv
When I resolved the warning, the problem went away and everything works now.
Regards
Mike
#82Posted 20 May 2014 - 05:50 AM It updated without an issue on my np+2. However, I have just tested but unfortunately the bug that serial message got corrupted by sd card accesses is still not fixed:

#83Posted 21 May 2014 - 07:55 PM Hi:
I just received my NP2 and made some examples for putton and led from book "Getting Started with Netduino".
Now my NP2 is not answering. When I run a basic program to turn on the onboard led, i get the message in VS2012: Unable to communicate with device USB:Netduino".
When I connect NP2 via USB, the power led on and also the blue led on for a few seconds.
I appreciate any Help for recovering my board.
Gustavo

Hi, try copying the file to your desktop, and run it from there.
#86Posted 24 May 2014 - 03:11 PM Hi, the same Problem again, just the path changed to C:\users\myname\,,,,,,,,,
Peter #87Posted 24 May 2014 - 10:35 PM
This is more of an MSI problem than a Netduino problem. Try following some of the advices from this Google search: http://www.google.no...d from the file

Hi Gustavo,
Are you running the 4.3.1 firmware (from the top of this thread)? It sounds like the current app has locked out the debugger somehow. Put your board into bootloader mode (press and hold pushbutton while powering it up via the USB port on your PC). Run NetduinoUpdate.exe (which comes with the 4.3.1 firmware). Click "options" next to your board, click on "Tools" and then click "Erase App". That should get you back to a good state. Chris #89Posted 28 May 2014 - 07:29 PM Hi, sorry for the late answer. It seems to work Thanks Peter #90Posted 31 May 2014 - 12:02 PM Just reflashed my Netduino Plus 2 with the latest 4.3.1. I created a 4.3 solution for the MicroWPF (currently targeting 4.2) and I ran VS 2012 Express.
MUUUUUUUUCH BETTER!!!!!!
Ciao e grazie!
Biggest fault of Netduino? It runs by electricity.

Thanks lot of...this fix solved the ONLINE debug issue.
Before wasnt posssible to debug online ND2p with SDk4.31 #92Posted 18 June 2014 - 06:18 PM Hi everybody,
When I try to upgrade the firmware, the Netduino Plus2 I have just does:
1. When connect USB, makes the typical sound of Not known artifact 1b. I cannot see anything listed in NedtuinoUpdate 2. The DFU already installed 3. The Netduino Plus 2 has both white and blue leds ON 4. When I detach and attach againg, the Netduino Plus 2 works fine (with version 4.2)
Suggestions?
I have previous version 4.2 and seems to work great with VS2010. But I am having analog pins problems and I am not sure if related to firmware or not...
Suggetions? Thanks #93Posted 19 June 2014 - 06:36 AM
Hi caEstrada,
When you plug the board in in bootloader mode, what shows up in MFDeploy? If you run DFUSE Demonstrator does the board show up there? Finally...are you running the recommended version of ST DFU tools? Chris #94Posted 19 June 2014 - 04:28 PM Chris,
Thanks for addressing this.
Nothing shows up in MFDeploy and DFUSE. When I connect the usb while pressing the button, the PC makes the typical sound that drivers are not installed for this board-mode and Win7 does not recognize the board (in bootloader mode).
However, when I connect usb in normal fashion, it works great (version 4.2 and VS2010), pretty stable, no issues.
Perhaps I used wrong link to get proper ST DFU tools...where are the latest.
Suggestions?
Thanks!! #95Posted 19 June 2014 - 04:41 PM
Hi caEstrada,
Grab the STDFU Tools 3.0.3. Here's a direct link for you: http://www.netduino....edemo_3.0.3.zip We also include a link in the first post of the firmware thread (i.e. this thread). Once the DFU drivers are installed, your board should show up in Netduino Update when in bootloader mode. Chris #96Posted 19 June 2014 - 09:01 PM Chris,
Same result, installed and restarted windows7. What am I doing wrong?
Ok, disconnect the board. Press button and keep it pressed while connecting USB to computer. Run NetduinoUpdate...but no activity, just the OS sound like we have a new board connected but not knowing what to do...
I have the REV A-....both, white and blue are ON, is bootloader mode, right? #97Posted 19 June 2014 - 09:31 PM Chris,
I can see the board with MFDeploy. The board is NOT in bootloader mode. The USB drivers work very well.
I can remember Netduino Plus was upgraded using a procedure thru MFDeploy...can I use that procedure with new firmware files and this new board? #98Posted 20 June 2014 - 04:22 AM
Hi caEstrada,
With the gen2 boards, we moved to a much improved method using a single upgrade tool (Netduino Update) instead of the older SAM-BA + MFDeploy combo from Netduino gen1. Can you please open up Device Manager, plug your Netduino Plus 2 in via USB (with the pushbutton pressed) and then see what shows up in Device Manager? Screenshots may be helpful here... Chris #99Posted 20 June 2014 - 03:49 PM Thanks Chris, I will try that and I will let you know...thanks again #100Posted 20 June 2014 - 04:29 PM Chris,
Already found the problem: BootLoader USB Driver was not updated, was installed but not updated on my computer. I just click to update using the ST Microeletronics Directory under C:Applications and ready.
This new version do not work with VS2010 but VS2012...
Thanks for the great support and all the suggestions... 0 user(s) are reading this topic0 members, 0 guests, 0 anonymous users | ||||||||||||||
