The Netduino Plus 2 has an operational temperature range of 0 - 70 C.  What limits it from being operational down to -40 C?  I would like to use it in an outdoor project that could go to -40C.

Hi k0fei, We "underspec" our products, to make sure you get a good experience. Technically most of the parts on Netduino Plus 2 are more along the lines of -40 C to 85 C but SD cards and sometimes Ethernet can have trouble at those temperatures. Plastics can also be harder to work with in colder temperatures. Lots of Netduino community members build projects which operate outside the 0 C to 70 C "commercial temperature" range. But technically that's pushing the limits a bit. BTW--for commercial customers buying 1,000+ units at a time, we can make Netduinos with extended temperature specs. Chris
