Hi,

I want to start learning native development. I figured what better to learn it on than the netduino!

I seen some posts on here about soldering in a JTAG header. But looking at the header it seems to be a non standard type.

Can someone help me locate a header I can solder in? Maybe a mouser or digikey part #?

Also, whats the popular JTAG debugging device? Does Secret Labs have a fav?

Thanks!

-Matt

Well, that is a standard Cortex JTAG connector (0.05" pitch). Secret Labs uses FCI part 20021111-00010T4LF (Mouser, DigiKey), many alternatives exist (e.g. by Samtec).

ST-LINK/V2 IDC/programmer is rather popular, but you'd need JTAG adapter (or similar).

Alternatively, you could get STM32F4-Discovery board, it has [almost] the same microcontroller and includes ST-LINK/V2. There is different crystal though, so you'd need to either replace it (with 25 MHz one) or change PLL settings in the firmware source.

Hi Matt, We left enough room around the MiniJTAG (Cortex Debug Port) headers to allow for a fully-enclosed header. This helps ensure that the cable doesn't get plugged in backwards, pins don't get bent easily, etc. We typically solder on the "GoPort IDC Headers" for MiniJTAG. They're the same form factor. http://www.amazon.co...6283166&sr=1-14 Chris

Thank you guys very much!!!

I'm going to get the GoPorts and ST-LINK/V2.

Thanks again!
